Clindamycin
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply lightly to the affected skin area twice daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients who have history of regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, antibiotic-associated colitis.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use when significant diarrhea occurs. Patients w/ atopic individuals. Pregnant & nursing women. Ped <12.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, itching, skin dryness, erythema, oily skin, peeling, skin irritation, gm -ve folliculitis, abdominal pain & GI disturbances.
Drug Interactions
May enhance the action of other neuromuscular blocking agents. In vitro antagonism w/ erythromycin.
